When a bundle of TMT bars arrives at your site, everything you know about it is printed on a tag. The grade, the size, the brand — all of it is a claim. And in a market where fake ISI marks and mislabelled grades are a documented, recurring problem, a claim is not enough for the steel that holds up your building.

That is why we have redesigned the Tusker TMT product tag around a simple idea: you should never have to take our word for it. Every tag that leaves our Palavoor facility now carries two QR codes that put proof — not promises — directly in your hands.

In short: scan the “Verify Your Product” QR on your tag, enter the lot number and verification code printed beside it, and the portal at verified.tuskertmt.com returns the mill test certificate record for your exact batch. No app, no login, no waiting.

One Tag, Two QR Codes

The redesigned tag — attached to every bundle, across all sizes from 6mm to 25mm and both Fe 550D and Fe 550D CRS grades — carries a dedicated verification panel with two clearly labelled codes:

QR 1 — Scan to Know Our Company QR code linking to www.tuskertmt.com — Tusker TMT company, manufacturing and BIS certification details

Who made your steel

Opens www.tuskertmt.com — our manufacturing process, BIS certifications, product specifications, and the 40+ year Ferrosco story. Everything a first-time buyer should check before choosing a brand.

QR 2 — Scan to Verify Your Product QR code linking to verified.tuskertmt.com — Tusker TMT product verification portal

Proof of what you received

Opens verified.tuskertmt.com — the product verification portal. Enter the lot details from your tag and see the mill test certificate record for that specific batch, drawn from our own production records.

The first QR builds familiarity. The second builds certainty. Together they close the gap between what a tag says and what you can prove.

How Verification Works — Under a Minute, Any Phone

1

Scan the “Verify Your Product” QR

Point any smartphone camera at the verification QR code on your tag. It opens verified.tuskertmt.com directly in your browser — no app download, no registration.

2

Enter your Lot Number

Printed on the same tag, beside the QR code. This ties your bundle to a specific production batch at our Palavoor facility.

3

Enter the Verification Code

Also printed on your tag. Each tag carries its own lot-and-code pair — a lot number alone is not enough, which is exactly the point.

4

View your batch’s certificate record

The portal returns the mill test certificate record for your batch: grade, chemical composition, mechanical test results, bend & re-bend results, and date of manufacture — drawn from the same records we maintain under our BIS surveillance obligations, not a marketing document.

One thing to keep in mind: the portal is an instant reference drawn from our production records. The signed mill test certificate issued with your consignment — available through your authorised Tusker TMT dealer — remains the governing document for construction and regulatory decisions. What the portal gives you is the ability to confirm, independently and in seconds, that what you were handed matches what we made.

Why This Is a Premium Feature — Not a Gimmick

Plenty of products carry QR codes that lead to a homepage. That is marketing. What we have built is lot-level traceability — the standard practice of the world’s leading steel producers, now available to anyone holding a Tusker TMT tag.

It changes the conversation for everyone in the chain. A homeowner building their first house gets the same verification power as a procurement engineer. A site supervisor can confirm a delivery before unloading it. A structural consultant gets citable test data for project records. A dealer can resolve the question every serious customer eventually asks — “how do I know this is genuine?” — in sixty seconds, at the counter.

And because each lot number and verification code pair is tied to our production records, the system is inherently hostile to counterfeiting. A copied tag on non-Tusker steel will not return a valid certificate record. If a combination fails, you will know before the steel goes anywhere near your foundation — and we ask you to report it to us at info@ferrosco.com immediately.

Verification at Two Levels

The portal also displays our active certifications — IS:1786:2008, IS:15911:2010, and IS:14650:2023, alongside DPIIT recognition and TN PWD approval. These licences can be independently confirmed in the Bureau of Indian Standards database, a process we covered step-by-step in our BIS Care app guide.

That gives Tusker TMT buyers two independent layers of assurance: BIS verification confirms the manufacturer is certified, and QR verification confirms the exact batch in your hands matches our test records. Very few TMT brands in India offer the second layer. We believe it should be the norm — so we made it standard, on every tag, at no extra cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I find the Lot Number and Verification Code?

Both are printed on the product tag attached to your bundle, next to the QR codes. Every tag carries its own lot number and verification code pair.

Do I need to download an app?

No. The portal at verified.tuskertmt.com works in any browser on any smartphone. Scanning the QR takes you straight there — no login or registration required.

What does the mill test certificate record show?

Grade and applicable standards (IS 1786:2008 for the bar, IS 14650:2023 for the billet), chemical composition (carbon, manganese, sulphur, phosphorus, carbon equivalent), mechanical properties (yield strength, UTS, elongation, UTS/YS ratio, bend & re-bend results), and date of manufacture. For construction or regulatory decisions, the signed certificate issued with your consignment remains the governing document.

What if my code returns no result?

Do not use the steel. A failed lookup means the tag may be fraudulent or the material may not be genuine Tusker TMT. Contact us at info@ferrosco.com or +91 73977 99154 with the tag details and we will investigate immediately.

Is this on every Tusker TMT product?

Yes — every tag, every bundle, all sizes from 6mm to 25mm, in both Fe 550D and Fe 550D CRS grades.
